Finely pierced and repousse with a wide band of putti seated cross-legged upon urns supported by pairs of dolphins and griffins, engraved in the center with the initials “HME” in script, marked with the RW cipher, “STERLING” and pattern 637 S. 18 oz. Diameter 11 inches.Hellen M. Elwyn was born about 1870 in New York, to Alfred L. Elwyn and Helen M. Dyer. She was married to William A. Kremer in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on September 4, 1907. The date corresponds to silver produced by the Roger Williams Silver Co. beginning in 1900, until it became a division of Gorham in 1913.
